Allstar Performance Aluminum Expansion Tank
The Allstar Performance Aluminum Expansion Tank provides a convenient fill point for cooling systems where the radiator is mounted low or the radiator fill neck is difficult to access. The tank is commonly installed at the highest point in the cooling system, helping provide a proper fill location while assisting with the removal of trapped air.
The 1/2" NPT bottom supply fitting is typically connected to the low-pressure side of the cooling system, while the return fitting connects to a port located high on the engine. This arrangement helps route trapped air back to the expansion tank for improved cooling system operation.
Constructed from lightweight aluminum, the tank features a machined filler neck designed to accept most standard radiator caps. A 1/8" NPT port is also provided for connecting an overflow or recovery tank.
